I have been unable to get any casters out of pre without any deaths. I can get warriors, monks, and rangers to post without deaths. Still trying to get 1st character to Survivor.

IMO, use the one you know the most about and are most comfortable with.

Paras have high armour, mesmers have illusion of weakness.

If you want to hit legendary, you want to be on the back line - the number of feasible backline assassin builds is very limited and all of those rely on secondary professions. In order to get xp at a reasonable rate, you want to be capping elites left right and centre - so you'll want a build that does not rely on the secondary at all.

If it were me - I would choose para, mes, sin in that order.

Oh and forget pre - Nightfall is by far the best place to start.

Agreed. Paragons have the good combination of higher AR and range. If you like the class, that'd probably be your best bet. However, it's certainly possible with any profession.

Played factions? there is so much experience there with like no chance of dieing.

Both Istan and newbie islands have compariable xp totals and istan allows you to do them all with heros and max armour. The majority of Factions easy XP is in the KC Fedex quests which are available to all characters.

actually factions is by far the easiest compared to nightfall...and you can reach r1 survivor faster..7 hours was my fastest time with a ranger did every single quest.

I got Legendary Survivor with my Warrior. I would say Ranger is the easiest since they usually stay in the back of the group. My Elementalist is at 400k EXP right now, going to try and get her to LS.

My survivor is a ranger, and it was very easy to do so long as I did it either either (very patient) guildies and/or heroes and henchmen. I tried doing the same with some caster types and it didn't work out so hot.

I was thinking of trying a survivor character, a ranger surrently in pre searing prophecies. After reading some posts on the forum where people get to level 20 in 7 hours!! and seeing a picture of soemone that got legendary survivor in 96 hours its kind of put me off.

I want to do it by playing the game fairly normally not farming xp in really easy quests or rushing ahead to buy the best armour. I dont have factions so the easy xp isnt a problem, are there people with this title who earned it through normal play or is it that the majority have it through these shortcut methods?
